Apartments, lofts and campus moves
A big share of Knoxville moves are apartments: complexes along Kingston Pike and in West Knoxville, buildings near the University of Tennessee campus, and lofts on Gay Street and in the Old City. Those come with elevators to reserve, loading zones with time limits, and August and May rushes when thousands of students move at once. Book early for those weeks.
For houses, the jobs run from older homes in Fourth and Gill and North Knoxville, with narrow stairs and tight turns, to newer builds out in Hardin Valley and Powell. Older houses mean measuring doorways before the big pieces come out; we'd rather take a couch apart than scrape a hundred-year-old door frame.
