What a local move with C&R looks like
A local move is anything that starts and ends in our part of East Tennessee: Sevierville to Kodak, a Gatlinburg cabin down to Seymour, a house in Pigeon Forge to an apartment in Knoxville. Most of them wrap up the same day the truck is loaded.
The crew shows up with the box truck, moving blankets, straps and dollies. Furniture gets wrapped in the room before it moves, which is why one customer, Nick A., wrote that we "didn't scratch a thing in our home or anything that was moved." At the other end we put beds back together and set the big pieces where you want them.
Moves that are harder than they look
Sevier County is not flat. A lot of our local work involves cabins on steep gravel drives, decks with no straight path to the door, and roads where a full-size moving truck can't turn around. We ask about the driveway when we quote, so we can plan how to get the truck in, or how far we'll be carrying.

How far counts as a local move?
Anything within East Tennessee that we can load, drive and unload in a day is handled as a local move: Sevier County, Knoxville, Seymour, Jefferson City, Morristown and the towns between. Out-of-state moves are quoted as long-distance moves.
How soon can you move me?
Call and ask. The phone is answered 24 hours a day, and the date depends on how booked the crew is that week. Weekends and the end of the month fill up first, so earlier is better.
Do I need to empty dressers and pack my own boxes?
You can pack yourself, or have the crew do it. Our packing service covers the whole house or just the rooms you don't want to deal with.
Will you move just one or two big items?
Yes. A couch, a safe or a couple of appliances is a normal job for us. Choose "Just a few items" on the quote form.
