Apartment moving
Apartment movers who plan around the building
Third-floor walk-ups, freight elevators, reserved loading spots and a key that has to be turned in by noon.
The building sets the rules
Apartment moves are rarely about distance. They're about stairs, elevators, parking and time. Many complexes in Knoxville and Sevierville want the elevator reserved, the truck parked in a certain spot, and the old unit empty by a set hour. We ask about all of that when we quote, so moving day runs on the building's schedule instead of fighting it.
If your complex needs a certificate of insurance from the mover before the move, tell us early and we'll get it to the office.
Furniture that doesn't fit through the door
Sectionals, bed frames, desks and dining tables often have to come apart to clear a tight stairwell or a narrow hall. The crew brings the tools, takes them apart, keeps the hardware bagged with the piece, and puts it all back together at the new place.
- Stairwells and landings measured before the big pieces come out
- Door frames and elevator walls padded where they need it
- Hardware bagged and taped to the furniture it came from
- Beds rebuilt first, so you have somewhere to sleep that night

“AMAZING!!! Trey and Dylan were so organized and very professional and very respectful to me and my belongings. I will call C&R moving when I need to move.”
“I don’t ever leave reviews, but these guys deserve it. … They went above and beyond in every way possible. Even when we had to reposition things in our house or re arrange items, they did it all.”
Apartment moving questions
Do you move studio and one-bedroom apartments?
Yes. Small apartments are some of our most common jobs. Choose "Studio or 1 bedroom" on the quote form and we'll price it for that size.
What if there's no elevator?
Then we carry it. Stairs add time, so mention the floor number and whether there's an elevator at both ends when you ask for a quote.
Can you move me out and clean out what I'm leaving behind?
Yes. We can haul off furniture and junk you don't want to take, the same day as the move. See junk removal.
